make-up beauty monday: must haves

Our routine is equipped with a few must haves, and we suggest others follow suit. A true magazine ( and beauty product ) junkie, we're not one to jump on the band wagon without a recco straight from the lips of someone we trust ( or after trying it ourselves). And so, a few must haves for today (these especially rock in the winter). Plus, one we've been lusting over.

First, great for moisturizing our hands, is L'Occitane  hand lotion. We've never found anything better for keeping our hands nice and soft, and it comes in a variety of sizes ( for home, office and satchel). Next up is Smith's Rosebud Salve. Probably used by your grandmother, it's one of those oldies but goodies and can be used for everything from a lip balm to a fly-away smoother. We sometimes use it on our unruly brows as well. Snag at Sephora.

Second, for our tresses: enter MOROCAN OIL. Not only is the smell to die for, but it smoothes and shines like a magic potion (a little dab will do ya). We've applied it both wet and dry for varying effects and wouldn't consider styling without it.

Thirdly, we cannot sing the praises of Oscar Blandi's volumizing dry shampoo enough. Perfect for "second day" hair," it has a great smell without any powdery residue, and keeps hair smelling and feeling fresh. Plus it also does the trick for adding a little volume at your crown for that top knot or ballerina bun.

Last, but not least, we're coveting this Mason Pearson boar bristle brush. Sworn to keep hair shiny and soft by leading beauty experts and salon aficionados, we'd love to take one to our tresses permanently.  At over $100, it's little too pricey at the moment, however.

What are your beauty must-haves?
