navy + gold

After our little glam nail experiment, we were reminded of how much we love a little touch of gold. Layering of delicate chains is one of our favorite looks, and a little trick from us pros that draws the eye down. Pairing it with a silk navy, it's definitely a go to color combo, especially in the summer when we want to get all nautical and jazz - making everything feel just a bit richer.

This fun neutral cap-toe has just the right amount of flash to tie it all together.

(Now that we think about it, seems like we may have discussed this before?)

a lil bit o glam

With one of the most glamourous nights in fashion upon us, we were inspired to add a little bit of it ourselves - decorating our otherwise naked dexterity's. Not usually a fan of "stick on" anything, we picked up Essie's new nail stickers and are quite impressed with the result. We think they'll be perfect for toasting champagne with later. Yes? It's about as glammed up as this lady's going to get with her bowl of popcorn and pen, ready for taking notes on who hit and who, just missed.

We'll catch you ladies on Monday, with a short and sweet dress commentary on the Oscars.

spotlight on moon & lola

Fans of this on trend acrylic & monogramming genius for years, we spotlight on Kelly Shatat's girly, yet classic with a colorful twist, pieces. Injecting versatility, accessories are the perfect way to experiment  & create a new look in a snap. We propose that building up your bauble bar (if you will) is just as important as that which hangs in our closet ( if not more so)! So, if you're looking to add a few pieces to yours, below we highlight a few (ok, a lot!) of our faves.

(available in any state!)

We suggest you check Moon & Lola out!

michelada time!

Winter blahs call for a little something spicy and delicious ( especially when we're attempting to channel the mexican beaches of Manzanillo). Enter, the michelda.

A twist on the bloody, and colorful with a little kick, we are happy to introduce this as our new sip of the moment.

To concoct :
  1. Rim a glass with a fresh lime wedge
  2. Swirl it around in wonderful Tajin salty goodness
  3. Press a few limes, for a 1/3 lime juice
  4. Fill glass 3/4ths full with beer
  5. Add Clamato ( tomato and clam juice)
  6. Adjust to taste
  7. Add the view (ok, just picture it)

and Slrrrp!

a little lucite love

Spotlight on lucite. At the moment, one of our favorite ways to adorn and accesssorize. The perfect neutral way to add a little glam and sparkle, lucite takes everything up a notch ( and you don't have to drop a lot of cash to do so - unless you drop it on this amazing clutch). With a whisper of vintage, we think a touch a this glamourous glass is worth snagging.

beach getaway

Hello lovelies. We apologize for the near 2-week hiatus, but we're back with some exciting stuff after living off guacamole, ceviche and michelada's ( our favorite new beverage - recipe forthcoming) for the last seven days. Jetting off to la casa de Lang last week, we thought it'd be the perfect chance to showcase some great summer wear, but alas, all we really wore was our bathing suit!! Nevertheless, if you have the chance to escape these winter blahs, take note.

The essentials:
For dinner: try white linen paired with simple leather sandals, gold touches and turquoise.

This is pretty much what we lived in ( plus one Coco Loco), however

Hope you all had a great week. Can't wait to start sharing some fabulous spring picks.... even though we're in for a big snow storm this week.

relax and recharge

Part of looking good means feeling good. To our minds, taking the opportunity to unplug, relax and recharge, is just as important as finding the perfect pair of jeans. Accordingly, we spent the better part of the weekend surrounded by snowy pines, wrapped up in a cozy spa robe at Sundara Inn and Spa. Nestled off the beaten path in Wisconsin Dells and named by Good Morning America as the 3rd favorite spa in America, the sanskrit word for "beautiful" leaves no detail up to chance.

With in suite fireplaces, an outdoor heated infinity pool, and organic cuisine , our tension, stress and the outside world, simply melted away as we indulged in just a sampling amongst the luxurious array of services. This is a must stop if you're anywhere near the midwest (and even if you're not)!

The view from our suite was simply magical as the sun rose to fill the off suite, enclosed wooden balcony. You couldn't ask for a better way to wake up! We even spotted a few baby deer scampering along after their mother.

A look down at the heated infinity pool and fireplace. Yes, we took a steamy dip!

With a mission that seeks to approach everything with wellness, this spa certainly delivers.  We only apologize we couldn't share more of the spa ( no photography allowed)!

However, Even if you just want to pop in for a pedicure, you can enjoy the purifying bath ritual, steam room, whirlpools and outdoor infinity pool all day long ( yes, no need to stay overnight). Although, the beds are quite delicious; our mom even bought one of the feather pillows. And, each room comes complete with a series of soothing meditative spa music compilations.

Few magical cell phone free retreats like this exist! Now, back to reality.... with a little Hydrating Mist (part of their signature line with ingredients indigenous to the area) to keep the spa experience going back home!
Can't wait for our next visit! Hope you all had a great weekend.
